Typical Applications
Solid Powder Samples:
Samples are prepared into thin sheets by grinding and pressing with KBr.
Widely used in pharmaceuticals, materials science, environmental protection, and scientific research.
Liquid and Gas Samples:
Liquid testing can be achieved using a liquid cell or ATR accessory.
Gas testing is achieved using a gas cell accessory.

Plastics and Other Polymers:
Tested using ATR or hot pressing methods.
Hot Pressing: The sample is heated to an appropriate temperature using a hot press mold and then pressed into a thin sheet.
ATR Method: The relatively flat surface of the sample is placed on a crystal, and the knob is tightened for testing. Note: When testing black or high-refractive-index samples with ATR, the crystal needs to be replaced.
Other Infrared Applications
Ø Infrared oil testing applications, such as transformer insulating oil, oil in water, etc.: Generally, an infrared cuvette or liquid cell is sufficient for testing.
